ABT® National Training Curriculum Examination Information
Classes listed on our schedule as ABT® Examination Classes are by invitation. Students are advised that they must take the recommended number of ballet technique classes that correspond to their level in order to be examined.
The level and age guidelines are as follows:
Students must be the age listed upon entry into level, not by the date of examination. It is recommended to have a minimum of 1.5 academic years of study in any given level prior to scheduling examination.
Pre-Primary (equivalent to Integral's Pre Ballet) - Ages 4 and 5 | 1x Weekly
Primary (equivalent to Integral's Level 1) - Ages 5 and 6 | 1x Weekly
Level 1a & 1b Ages 7-9 (Yellow Belts) | 2x Weekly
Level 2a & 2b Ages 9-10 (Lilac Belts) | 3xWeekly
Levels 3a & 3b Ages 10-12 (Pink Belts) | 3-4x Weekly + 1-2x Pointe
Levels 4a & 4b Ages 11-13 (Red Belts) | 4-5x Weekly + 3-4x Pointe
Levels 5a & 5b* Ages 13-15 (Black Belts) | 5-6x Weekly + Corresponding Pointe
*Passing level 5 grants the student automatic acceptance in ABT®'s Summer Intensive

Examination Schedule
Examinations will take place at the end of the academic school year and will be schedule 4-5 months in advance based on the availability of the ABT® Examiner. Mock exams will take place two weeks prior to the exam outside of regularly scheduled class time.
