Belt Assessments
Typical progress:
White Belt… 1 Year
Yellow Belt …2 Years
Lilac Belt …2-3 Years
Pink Belt …2 Years
Red Belt …2 Years
Students must achieve their assessment standards in order to move up in belt color. Standards and assessment forms are available for review on the website under ‘Extra Help’. A private lesson may be booked if a student/parent wants clarification or extra work on assessment items and standards.
White belt assessments taking place throughout the school year during regular class time. All other belts must register for a scheduled assessment given once per semester. There is a $35 fee for belt assessments and includes a new belt. Alternatively, students may register for a private assessment at regular rates.
Belts are required dress code for all ballet classes. Dancers who forget their belt will be loaned a white belt. If belts are not returned at the end of class, families will be charged for the belt.
Assessments are conducted by Integral staff and guest artists and teachers. Participating in an assessment does not mean you will advance in belt color. Please review the material in your current belt level to prepare for the exam. Dancers who wish for extra preparation can schedule a belt assessment prep session.
