•Dance Class Focused on Creative Movement and Structured Play
•Student Learns and Adheres to the Basic Structure of a Ballet Class
•Student Learns Characters, Stories and Music of Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Corsaire, Petroushka, Coppelia, The Nutcracker & More
•Student Achieves Basic Understanding of Rhythm and Musicality
•Student Achieves Fundamental Posture and Understanding of Turn Out in first, second and third position
•Basic Stretching
•Achieving Foundation for Basic Terminology: 5 ballet positions, port de bras, plie, tendu, passe, coupe, bourre, chasse, saute, jete
•1 Performance included in the End of Year Recital .
Level 1
1-2 Hours Per Week Recommended, Typically ages 6-8 Black Leotard and Pink Tights, Skirts and Tutus allowed, Pink Ballet Slippers, Hair in bun for girls White Tee Shirt and Black Tights for boys, black or white ballet slippers White or Yellow Belt
•Student Achieves Understanding of the Structure of a Ballet Class
•Student Achieves Fundamentals of Barre work: tendu, plie, port de bras, degaje and pique, ronde de jambe, develope en croix, battement
•Student Achieves Basic Understanding of Musicality and Phrasing
•Student Masters Fundamental Posture and Understanding of Turn Out in first, second, fourth and fifth
•Basic Stretching
•Student Expands Basic Terminology: Basic body directions introduced, adagio, arabesque, chaine, pique, balance, chasse, saute, pas de chat, pas de bourre, jete, reverence

Level 2
2 Classes per Week Required for Level 2 Company Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Red Ballet Belt, Pink Ballet Slippers White Tee Shirt and Black Tights for boys, black or white ballet slippers Yellow, Lilac or Pink Belt
•Student Masters Fundamentals of Barre work: tendu, plie, port de bras, degaje and pique, ronde de jambe, develope en croix, battement
•Student Performs more Complex Barre work. Introduction of petite allegro, extension, frappe, fondu
•Student Masters Understanding of Musicality and Phrasing
•Student Masters Details of Alignment and Strengthens Turn Out
•Student Focus on Strengthening of Ankles and Height of Releve to prepare for pre-pointe
•Barre Stretch
•Student Expands Terminology: Body directions, complex adagio, arabesque, chaine, pique, pirouettes introduced, balance, waltz, chasse, complex petite allegro, complex allegro, reverence
•Student may be invited to participate in Fall performances as well as Spring
Level 3
3 Technique Classes Per Week Required (Pointe optional) Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Pink or Red Ballet Belt, Pink Ballet Slippers
•Student Masters Complex and Consistent Barre work
•Student may be invited to begin Pointe at discretion of the staff
•Student Masters Terminology
•Student Focuses on Achieving single and double pirouettes, high extension, ease of pointe work, consistent leaps and turns, stamina, endurance, clean lines, artistry and performance quality.
•Students invited to participate in student teacher training workshops, stage-make up workshops, partnering and variations classes in addition to curriculum
•Minimum classes required according to level (3 technique classes for level 3, 4 for level 4, etc), 3 ballet classes per week minimum is required for pointe work and participation in Company performances
•Student may be invited to participate in Fall & Spring performances
Level 4 & 5
Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Black Ballet Belt, Pink Ballet Slippers
•Student Masters Complex and Consistent Barre work
•Mastery of pointe work
•Multiple pirouettes, high extension, ease of pointe work, consistent leaps and turns, stamina, endurance, clean lines, artistry and performance quality.
•Students invited to participate in student teacher training workshops, stage-make up workshops, partnering and variations classes in addition to curriculum
•5+ classes per week required 3 ballet classes per week minimum is required for pointe work and participation in Company performances
•Student may be invited to participate in Fall & Spring performances
Ongoing Enrichment Classes
Students from pre-ballet through Level 3 may take recreational ballet classes. No minimum class requirements. Standard dress code applies.
Recreational Students may participate in End of Year Recital if enrolled for both fall and spring semester. All Students must take at least one ballet class every semester at Integral Ballet .
Adult & Open Classes
ADULT BALLET: We offer ongoing enrollment for adult beginner and intermediate ballet classes. Any of our enrolled ballet students are welcome to take the Pilates/Yoga Fusion class free of charge. Classes are open to teens and adults trying ballet for the first time, or dancers wanting to stay or get back into shape.
ADULT WORKSHOPS: Various class series offered throughout the school year and summer. Adult workshops are typically mixed level and geared towards the intermediate level. Workshops typically run for 5 or 6 weeks. Classes include Tap, Contemporary Jazz/Lyrical, Ballet, Bellydance, Hip Hop, and Modern. More information can be found on IntegralBalletAdultEd.com.
