May 27 Update
We are at 85% towards our fundraising goal to make our Virtual Summer Schedule completely free for all students! Contributors are invited to participate at any level so if you are thinking of online summer classes, please consider a tax deductible donation today. Many thanks to those who have donated already.
Dancers must pre-register for free virtual classes on our regular website registration page for placement.
We await phase 4 reopening for our next update. At that time we hope that we can welcome a small number of students for in-person or open-air summer classes as we stream them.
We have limited spots remaining available for summer private lessons as well.
Fall Enrollment Is Now Open for Limited Capacity!
We are confident that we will be allowed to operate in a limited capacity though we anticipate and prepare for social distancing which may be required throughout the fall season. We are so happy that we are now able to accept enrollment and tuition payments for the 2020-2021 academic term for students who have responded to the survey, submitted registration forms, or are in the ballet company.
We don’t want to exclude anyone but to ensure dedicated dancers get their necessary time in class, we will only be opening enrollment for invited students for the 2020-2021 academic term. We will open up to new and other returning students when we are able. We are hopeful that we will be able to have all invited students in-person for all classes by limiting class sizes and splitting up groups. We will also offer a virtual/live mix for dancers taking 5 or more classes per week in the case that IRL is not possible at that time.
Attached is our list of anticipated enrollees and related tuition schedule for the 2020-2021 term. We have one or two spots left in a handful of classes and are hoping to be able to accommodate trades and swaps for scheduling purposes. If we mistakenly missed you or added you, please let us know as soon as possible so we can organize participation and ensure we meet phase 4 distancing requirements.
Company Rehearsal this Friday
Friday rehearsal schedule for 5/28 has been postponed from 12pm to 12:30pm to accommodate Friday morning yoga class:
12:30pm Oberon's Kingdom
1pm Bottom's Players
1:15 Lysander, Dem, Hel, Her
1:30pm Puck
1:45 Titania's fairies
2:15 Lark & Fantasia
Stay tuned for details on a Lilac/Pink belt trivia game!
30 Classes in 30 days contest has started again! Meet for 30 classes from now through the end of the term (June 28) and be entered to win a tuition voucher for $144. Details can be found here. Gotta be in it to win in it!
Pop Up Recital Details are starting to sort out. The deadline to sign up is still June 1st but attached is an updated plan with consolidated locations and times and the number of dancers we have signed up for each piece (Wow! Some of you have such an amazing opportunity to perform a solo!).
What to wear: Dancers should wear a face covering/mask to enter and exit their cars and spaces. Please also wear a mask if you are using the pop up changing tent. (Dancers who fashion their mask or face covering to match their costume will win a cozy pair of llama or donut socks – get creative, either in color or decoration.) Dancers in pieces with four or more where formations can’t be spread out may need to wear masks while performing. Dancers will perform in sneakers and costumes.
Where to find us: It is important that we do not cluster in groups larger than 10 people. Both selected locations have easy viewing from the parking spaces. For Newbridge – park north of the ice rink, all the way to the right. For Wantagh Park, after entering the main park, the picnic area is on the left-hand side. Look for Mr Freddie’s red pick up truck with the Integral sticker on the back. Families can watch from their cars, or can spread out for viewing if groups remain small and we can maintain 6 foot distances.
Although it would be nice to stick around and support the other children in their dances, we ask that families leave the first-row parking or move their parking spot to a farther row when their child is done performing so that others can park up close to watch their children.

May 19 Update
Summer Session and Summer Relief Fund
We expect to be able to open for real life private lessons during phase 2 when retail is permitted, and regular classes during phase 4, when gyms and recreation areas are permitted.
Without long-term information, and the possibility that we may have a recurrence of quarantine, we are finding it difficult to plan programs unique to this time.
Our most straightforward option is to simply ‘stay the course’. We will continue to offer the same schedules and programs that we would in real life via virtual learning until we can segue back to the studio. We are working really hard to keep our physical studio space so that we can get back there as soon as possible.
At this time, we are 60% (in one day!) towards raising funds that will allow us to offer our entire virtual summer session classes for FREE to our returning students. We have both a Go Fund Me page and outside contributions from very generous alumni contributing to this fund.
If you had considered signing up for live summer classes and you’d like to contribute in lieu of paying summer tuition, please visit gf.me/u/x25s93 to make a tax-deductible contribution. All contributors will be invited to participate in our schedule of virtual summer classes at no charge and if we hit our goal, these virtual classes will be free for everyone who wants to sign up. (Dancers still must sign-up to attend class via our regular school-year registration form, as classes will be cumulative. School-year related policies and procedures may be disregarded.)
We are now planning to stick to our original schedule of evening and weekend classes and dancers can participate virtually until we can head back. If day camps end up shutting down, there is a possibility these classes will be offered during day time hours based on popular need.
Belt Assessments
We are holding virtual belt assessments on June 6th as scheduled. Dancers wishing to be assessed may register on the website and coordinate a test time with Ms Erin or Ms Falyn.
The next company rehearsal for Midsummer dancers will take place: (July/August dates TBD)
Friday, May 29th & Sunday, June 14th at these times via Ms Erin's company rehearsal Meeting ID
12pm Oberon's Kingdom
12:30 Bottom's Players
12:45 Lysander, Demetrius, Helena, Hermia
1pm Puck
1:15 Titania's fairies
1:45 Lark & Fantasia
Pop-Up Recital
So that we can best organize details, please sign up for the Pop Up recital no later than June 1st if you haven’t done so already. We have ~13 families participating so we will likely consolidate to 2-3 pop ups at Newbridge or Wantagh park on June 29th (or rain date). Details will be forthcoming after we have our final list.
Is the studio going to get through Covid-19?
Thanks to support from our landlord, the PPP loan, the summer relief fund, the financial sacrifice our staff is making for the 2020 fall term, the extreme patience of our dance families, and the poise and discipline of our young dancers who have pressed forward despite these challenges, we will get through this crisis.
We have a major obstacle in making virtual learning as effective and fun as IRL dance classes for fall enrollment. We do encourage students to embrace virtual classes while there is no other alternative and are open to feedback about the effectiveness of online class time.
Zoom is free for users and easy to sign on. Besides the occasional glitch in music (and admittedly Sunday morning connection has been a bit of a disaster), it has been so wonderful to keep dancing and to connect with one another. The feedback we've gotten is that people feel less inhibited in their own home and like being able to refer back to the recordings for extra practice. We are able to demo and watch students for notes and personalized instruction through Zoom if they want their videos on, and we've created many classes and combos that can be done in small space.
We had a strong response to our enrollment interest survey. If families of our dedicated dancers are on board with the possibility of virtual learning some of the time as we implement phase-in plans and honor everyone’s safety, we should be able to continue serving our community. We are also working on securing funding to help returning students who have been financially impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.
I have coordinated a phase-in, staggered fall schedule for company dancers and those who have responded to our survey which ensures that every student can come in for live learning at least once a week while classmates may be logged in virtually. We anticipate being able to have drop off IRL classes for once-weekly students. Email [email protected] to receive our class recommendations for your child. We are now opening summer and fall enrollment and schedules (though subject to change) have been posted.
Dancers who enroll must be ok with the notion that live classes may convert to virtual if ordered by officials.
We will not be taking any payments for fall term until we are sure we will be operating but we are accepting registration forms. Students wishing to enroll can set up a future payment to reserve their spot.

SPRING COMPANY CONCERT: A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM & FANTASIA
Spring Company Concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 2nd 2021.
We will resume company rehearsals in January and will do any necessary recasting at that time if needed. Dancers will retain their current roles. We are working on grant-funding so that dancers will not need to pay additional rehearsal fees. Ticket purchases will also be transferred.
Dancers, if you'd like to schedule a monthly virtual review in the meantime, please let me know. It would be a nice way to connect with one another and keep the choreography in your muscle memory until we're back in live classes-though I have no doubts you will be just as beautiful coming back together after Nutcracker.
RECITAL 2020: IN SUMMER
Our 2020 'In Summer' Recital has been canceled by our venue indefinitely. The district will not reschedule nor refund until they are back in the office.
This is an indefinite cancellation, however, we will aim to hold a performance in the fall or winter at a suitable venue if at all possible. All 2019-2020 term dancers will be invited to participate and a series of choreography review rehearsals will be set up for them closer to that date. We hope with some alterations their costumes will still make-do.
We thank you in advance for considering your ticket purchase as a donation to the school if your family is able. Anyone wishing for a recital ticket refund, please email [email protected] before May 15th. If you did not use a credit card to purchase your tickets, please include a picture of your tickets for processing purposes.
Between May 16th and 20th, everyone one else will receive a tax deductible receipt by email acknowledging your donation to the school. This receipt can be presented for gratis tickets of the same value for the postponed recital, and can be used at tax time for a write off.
Dancers who would like to participate in our pop-up recitals on June 29th-July 3rd should confirm by clicking here. An Updated Pop Up Recital location list can be found on the confirmation page. We will be following government orders diligently regarding social distancing, mask-wearing and families remaining in their cars. Dancers may wear sneakers with their costumes.
SUMMER 2020
We've had a few chats with parents interested in Summer dance day camp, private lessons and a regular class schedule and we're continuing to sort out plans and details in an effort to accommodate everyone's level of comfort. We intend to finalize plans by June 1. Right now it looks like we'll have a bit of everything.
We have arranged for daily Covid cleaning every morning beginning in July and on days when adult classes take place. Private lessons for our older adults and higher risk families will take priority placement for morning slots. In late May, the studio is scheduled to reopen for the three adult classes only, for which we have capped at 5 students. Children's classes will continue virtually until June 29th regardless of permission to reopen, so as to keep live attendance to a minimum.
Adults wishing to swap from live to the streaming version of class, please email [email protected] to make arrangements.
Private lessons will resume by appointment beginning July 13th.
Our entire summer schedule will be available to stream in live time and all classes have been scheduled during the day. A tentative schedule has been posted here. Please let us know your scheduling requests and we will do our best to accommodate.
Zoom log-in details will be provided upon registration for summer classes.
If you would like a live spot in any class in the summer schedule, a day camp spot, and/or a private lesson series at the studio, please email [email protected] to make arrangements. Registration for virtual classes can be done online here.
We are committed to opening our doors when this crisis is over. We don't know exactly what that will look like yet but have prepared a tentative schedule for the next academic term. We plan to edit as we know more and are open to your scheduling requests through August.
We realize the children are facing enormous stress being kept away from their friends, their teachers and activities. We hope it will help heal their morale to have their local organizations still around, but recognize how much this crises may affect them emotionally.
To help support them through this, we will be relaxing all of our class minimum and class requirement rules for the 2020-2021 term. We will still provide guidelines on what we recommend for dance education, and our curriculum will still be in place for those who don't want a disruption to their advancement, but we will not enforce class minimum requirements or ballet pre-requisites except for pointe dancers. We hope they can use dance to relax, heal and relieve stress.
Congrats to Priya, Hazel, Chloe, Mia, Victoria, Isabella, Rylie and Emily on accomplishing 30 classes in 30 days! Stay tuned for our next contest from May 25th-June 25th!

April 17 Update
Help us plan our future:
We are currently in the process of determining the level of SBA financial assistance the studio will need to get back to full operation. This is by no means a commitment to the 20-21 term, but if you could kindly respond to our enrollment interest survey it would help greatly in planning when/where/how/if we will be able to reopen for the 2020-2021 school year term.
20-21 Enrollment Survey
Hi everyone,
We now understand that summer day and sleep away camps may not be able to open because large gatherings may not be advisable in our area by June, July or even August. Some of our studio parents may be in need of alternative plans in a controlled environment while others may still be at-risk and concerned about being around groups of any size.
Pending guidance from the governor and the CDC if smaller groups are permissible:
We have created a new, full-day summer schedule. We anticipate being able to allow no more than 6 participants per week for safety and registrants can sign up on a week-by-week basis.
This cannot be run alongside our regular summer schedule but if summer day and sleep-away camps are able to open, we will switch over to our usual summer program of evening classes. We hope to have more information by June 1st and will open enrollment at that time.
Dancers wishing to participate from home will be able to Zoom in to specific streaming classes. Info forthcoming.
Students attending the summer intensive in person can be dropped off and remain at the studio from 9am-5pm. Weekly tuition for full time (in-person) summer intensive will be $400 per week or $300 per week for dancers doing 5 or more weeks. We will have daily sanitation with our cleaning company who is now certified in Covid-19 protocol. Tentative schedule is geared to multi-level from yellow belt through red.
Please email [email protected] if this is something that would be helpful to your family and which (if known) weeks your child(ren) would need/like to attend. We are still sorting out how to keep our black and diamond belts in shape this summer 😊 but would like to pre-plan when specific age groups could meet.
The third scenario is of course if we are required to be closed for summer session due to public health concerns of even small group gatherings. In that case, streaming classes will then be offered if need/desire warrants.
Spring Performance Plans
We are also still in the process of reorganizing spring performance dates and are awaiting guidance from our venues and public health on if they need to be moved out further. If they are moved later than the current late June dates, a rehearsal will be planned prior to performances so dancers are prepared after the academic year ends on June 29th. See details below:
Recital Plans
Although we have not yet received information from our venue at Brookside, we are planning for the likelihood of not being able to gather a large audience. At this time, our performance is still scheduled for June 14th at 12pm.
Should the event be cancelled: We are awaiting relief funds and venue refunds in order to reimburse families for tickets that were pre-purchased. Please let us know if you require a refund or are able to consider your ticket purchase as a tax-deductible donation by emailing [email protected] after definitive plans are announced. We appreciate your patience as we await venue refunds on our events.
We still want the kids to have an unforgettable recital experience (before they grow out of their costumes). Whether it has to be in the studio, a drive-in theater, at home or on the computer, we are brainstorming ways to organize a safe and fun event for them to perform their choreography in costume.
The Spring Company Concert will continue to be postponed until we are able to hold it safely with a reasonable sized audience. At this time, it is still scheduled for 6/19 but we will send updates as we have them.

April 13th Email Update
Hi everyone!
A reminder that our IRL schedule starts online this Saturday, April 18th. We are holding classes according to the modified schedule until then as well and we can’t wait to see everyone!
A gentle reminder that class attendance is still being counted for belt levels that have mandatory attendance minimums and for company dancers. Besides that dance is a great way to stay active from home for everyone, dancers in the company need to stay in shape for upcoming performances and rehearsals. Be sure to say hi when you log in, or leave a comment on Facebook live during or after class.
Midsummer Rehearsals are resuming according to the schedule on April 19th and we look forward to seeing all dancers on Zoom during their scheduled rehearsal times.
It’s not too late to join in on our 30 Classes in 30 Days Contest. You can start recording your class attendance and/or take classes that have already been recorded.
30 classes in 30 days!
Take 30 of our online classes in 30 days (we want pics, folks), & qualify to win a $144 tuition voucher for the '20-'21 school year.
Rules and How to Play:
Option 1: Take a screen shot with the class video and date/time on your screen. Save your screen shot all month. At the end of the month, create a collage of 30 screen shots.
Option 2: Take a selfie with the class on screen. Date your selfie and save it all month. At the end of the month, create a collage of 30 selfies.
You may take more than one class in a day (pointe counts as a second class). Student teaching classes count! And you can re-take recorded classes (but different day = different leotard).
Email your collage to [email protected] between May 1st and May 5th. Classes may be taken up to May 5th to accommodate April’s holiday closures.
Everyone who qualifies by doing the 30 classes in 30 days will go into a drawing and one person will win the grand prize of a $144 tuition voucher. Everyone who qualifies will receive a pair of silly print socks.
To create a screen shot:

Best overall- Emma, Emily, Sienna
So ladies, you will receive an invitation to our cookie-party when we’re back at the studio!
Buddy-Choreography Contest 2
Our next Buddy Choreography Contest entries are due May 3rd. Dancers will be paired up with someone from their age group. They will work together on Zoom or Google Hangout to create and record new choreography to the Kitri Variation (Act 1 – with the pirouettes) from Don Quixote. Music and inspo can be found on You Tube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uliLRrz44is).
Dancers can submit a recording of their work as a team or each individually by uploading and sharing from Google Photos or emailing an MP4 (most privacy) or by uploading to You Tube (least privacy).
We will email partner pairs and their contact info this week, so please let us know if you’d like to participate by emailing [email protected]. We encourage all company dancers to join in on the contest – it’s a lot of fun and a great way to stay in touch with your friends. Plus, there will be cookies involved.

April 1 2020 Email
Hi everyone!
We planned to wait until we had a finalized schedule of Meeting IDs before sending an updated schedule but we’re receiving many queries. Please expect a follow up email around April 10th with details on class meeting times and Meeting IDs and passwords.
We will be converting to our IRL (in real life) class-by-class schedule on April 18th. For now, we have a posted a three week schedule that ensures all groups have a chance to meet in real time (thought it may not be your actual class time), while we train and prep teachers on distance learning. An anticipated schedule for April 18-June 28 has been posted.
The updated schedule for March 28th- April 17th has been posted to the website and can be downloaded or printed in a week-by-week PDF format which includes holiday closures. (password: ireallyloveballet)
Beginning April 18th, we will resume our in-real-life schedule, but online until further advice from officials. All classes will meet either through Zoom or Facebook Live except for small classes of three or fewer students which will be combined with other groups (Tuesday Level 1 and Thurs Pre Ballet). These groups can tune in live during their counterpart classes or watch later (Monday Level 1 & 2 counters with Tuesday Level 1 and Monday Pre Ballet counters with Thurs Pre Ballet). The schedule (on our password protected page) will convey meeting place and log in details.
If you have already heard from your own teacher regarding a meeting time, you may begin meeting with your teacher instead of during the generic class time on our temporary calendar.
We’d like to use this time as an opportunity and not just a band-aid – if there is a class you’ve always wanted to check out, go ahead and log in to audit – we’d love to see you. Students are welcome to log in for any classes of their appropriate level.
Look for info coming up in our 30 online classes in 30 days challenge!
Classes will continue this way through June 28th, resuming in-studio classes when allowed so we can hopefully make up as many in real life sessions as possible. We are extending our school year through the end of June so as to make up for the last couple weeks of mixed groups. We hope we will be welcoming assistants in small groups back into the studio when we are advised that it's safe.
Ballet Princess Camp will be cancelled or postponed for late August. We anticipate summer session will run as planned. Changes to the format of our recital are being sorted out (We are considering having small group performances wherein we have limited audience members present at any given time and also streaming the performance to family and friends. More info will be forthcoming as we are advised by public health. We appreciate your patience as we sort it out.).
Acro cannot be safely practiced at home. Students in Acro classes will be offered a $144 class credit which can be used for future enrollment. If you would like to forego your class credit, you will be issued a tax-deductible receipt for that amount as a donation to the school.
At this time, our April 26th concert has been rescheduled to Friday, June 19th. We are still closely following guidelines on whether or not this performance will be with a live audience and what options we have to keep it safe.

Reminder: PBT is on Zoom today at 4pm and 4:45. Recording will be posted for students who will be checking in later (we will be recording participants for parts of this class - if you don't want to be recorded, you can keep your video off or take the class later). All are welcome.
Today's exercises will focus on those that can be modified to work with household items. Bring a towel, small pillow or stuffed animal (if you have a soccer or other kind of light small ball - that's even better) and a chair.
Zoom is free. I found it easiest to learn from my Chrome browser on a computer but you can access from other devices as well. Create a free account at zoom.us, enter the meeting ID below. Or, copy and paste the URL into your browser. I will keep participants on mute during each exercise and unmute after each demonstration for any questions (don't we wish we had that feature IRL).

Hi everyone!
Below is our schedule for regular weekly classes (click for larger view) starting next week 3/28 (this week's schedule remains as what we sent out last week). Since I am the only teacher doing online classes at this point, some choreography rehearsal times have had to change from their regular schedule of classes. I also realize many of the kids have definite schedules for school going out and there may be unavoidable conflicts.
For choreography classes (in white), please do your best to be present during the scheduled ZOOM meetings so we can interact. Both choreography and technique classes will continue to be recorded and posted so you can take them whenever works best for your schedule. I will do the technique classes on Facebook live so they can be recorded and uploaded without having to record everyone participating.
While online learning does not replace live instruction, it is the best way we can keep students from regressing and keep them prepared for their end of year performances. We still intend to replace missed weeks of live instruction.
Below is also a letter from our board and teaching staff regarding the studio's updated plans regarding the closures, tuition, summer planning and more. This situation is constantly changing so updates to these plans will be posted on our website.
March 19, 2020
Dear parents,
We are all working together to keep a sense of normalcy and continuity at this time. Please note that we are not considering withdrawals or tuition deferments for families who have opted into monthly billing for the 2019-2020 school year related to closures. We will be able to offer an academic term extension that is reasonable and equal to the classes lost to the coronavirus when everyone can be comfortable coming in for class. If we are advised that we can re-open at a time when specific families are still at risk, class credits and other options will be made available. We also want to be able to include everyone in our planned events and performances and so delays are inevitable. We appreciate the great patience and flexibility we have shown one another in this trying time.
Our enrollment for children’s classes is offered by term. Tuition is due at the time of enrollment and our monthly billing plan is a financing option only. Many families have already paid their term in full. We are committed to keeping the studio healthy and viable for when we are able to return, and we are committed to ensuring your child’s completion of their term.
During the hiatus, we are creating a daily offering of online classes and content for every age and level to maintain a sense of routine and normalcy for the children, and to keep our older students active and in shape. These are free and can be watched live or later. They will include updated content and will remain available on our site for weeks at a time. Please feel free to use this time to try a new class or take class everyday.
All of our teachers have committed to an extended school year without additional pay and will be suffering a loss of income because of this hiatus. We realize that our studio families may be enduring hardships at this time and we thank you for your support and faith so that we can stay open on the other side of this. We are thankful that we are not completely shut down like some of the other local businesses in our area and implore you to consider small main street businesses who need our support. We are thankful that state resources seem to be becoming available to help us through the financial challenges we are bound to face. In our tradition of transparency, our Board of Directors agreed to share updates to our financial well-being. Updates will be available on the password protected page where we are posting online class content (and below as well). https://www.integralballet.com/class-content-during-coronavirus.html
We anticipate delayed revenue of approximately $7,000 for 2 spring concerts in ticket sales and boutique which typically contribute to venue rental, payroll and operating budget.
We anticipate lost revenue for summer tuition of approximately $9,000 as we will be prioritizing the 2019-2020 academic year students and will likely still be completing that term throughout the summer months. If social distancing is required beyond the Easter holiday, our term extension may interfere with our summer session. We are awaiting updates from the SBA disaster relief who is currently offering low interest loans related to coronavirus to businesses in limited states only (not yet NY as of this date). We plan to take advantage of that as soon as it is available in NY so we can move past all of this without passing along tuition increases or having to do traditional fundraising.

Hi everyone!
Below is a schedule of upcoming streaming classes. Live stream classes are scheduled to expire on March 28th but you can log into our website site to take classes later. The password is: ireallyloveballet. (Click schedule to view larger).
Please say hi when you log into the live stream - it's been so nice to see you (virtually)!
We're inviting one or two 'assistants' at a time to comply with public recommendations of keeping <10 in a group and maintaining a 6 foot distance.
A few of the classes I will be doing from home so dancers can see how to use your regular household furniture as barres, your towels as mats, your dogs as pas de deux partners, etc.
You really don't need much more than your body and a cleared small space. Even though we plan to make up missed IRL lessons - I'm encouraging everyone be resourceful as possible so we don't forget our muscle memory over the interim. I'd love to see pictures of how you made your at-home space work for your personal dance class.
Also, our class moms are still available at [email protected] if you have any questions about how to access online classes.
Hope to see you all IRL very soon!

Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is in good spirits and enjoying this time to be with family.
At this time, we intend to follow county advised protocol and close the studio for March 16th-28th. We have not been advised that small gatherings are problematic but many families are opting to remain home as a precaution.
We are planning a series of at-home videos and live stream classes that can keep our dancers active and engaged during the unexpected break. I have enclosed a schedule below that will be available via Facebook live. We are still learning the nuance of broadcasting class material (music licensing etc) and are concerned about privacy. Access may change as I learn more about making material privately accessible. For now, you can access via Integral Ballet’s Facebook page during and after a live stream. Other videos such as choreography, classes, combinations and exercises can be found here: https://www.integralballet.com/class-content-during-coronavirus.html
Online access to class material is not intended to replace in-person instruction time. However, we don’t want to sit home gettin’ noodle-y – so please check in or use the online videos. (content will be continuously added throughout the week).
Our plan as far as the academic term includes one week closed of no consideration. Thereafter, will aim to match the number of missed weeks at the end of the school year through June 28th or July 4th (and possibly remaining open during April break if we can come back by then). As our expectation of return changes, updates will be forthcoming.
If you would like to come in to the studio to “assist” with a facebook live class corresponding to your level, please email [email protected]. (This would be appropriate for individuals with no symptoms, no connection to a vulnerable family member, no secondary connection to an exposed individual, etc.)
If there are classes or videos you’d like to see, please email requests (I’ll do my best to accommodate).
Thanks everyone! Stay healthy and happy!
I hope everyone is in good spirits and enjoying this time to be with family.

An update on our class plans in light of the school district’s intended closures for Monday and Tuesday:
There have not been any confirmed cases in the Bellmore-Merrick school district at this time. Because our class sizes are small, we know everyone entering and leaving the building at all times, and the ongoing cleaning we’re doing at the studio, we intend to continue a regularly scheduled program of classes until the public is otherwise advised by the Department of Health and county officials.
We realize that we have families who wish to isolate during this unprecedented situation and others who wish to carry on as normally as possible.
If you have vulnerable family members and wish to remain isolated – we will be posting class content by level and all choreography on our website. A link will be provided after this weekend’s classes and the page will be password protected (ireallyloveballet). Absences need not be reported and will be understood to be related to abundant caution.
This weekend’s company rehearsal will also be posted via Facebook live though we hope that dancers feeling well without other considerations (such as vulnerable family members, compromised immune systems and/or secondary exposure to the virus) will attend in person.
We are currently working on live streaming regular classes in case of extended closures, postponing events with large gatherings (within a 4-6 week window- the university is not ready to provide info on the Apr 26 spring concert), and extending the length of our spring term into late June, assuming all will be well by that time. We are vigilantly following updates in order to determine next best steps regarding our spring productions and will keep our students updated as soon as we have information.
We are still taking extreme care in cleaning our facility after each class and rehearsal, minimizing the use of props, and maintaining no physical contact among dancers as per our last message.
To help with social distancing, please consider dropping off only for all classes, leaving siblings at home or with other caretakers, washing hands frequently and following the guidelines provided by health care officials.
I’m sure you are receiving a ton of updates and messages in this unprecedented situation and I appreciate your tuning in to stay in the loop. We will send updates if there are changes to our plans.
Thank you! Stay safe, healthy and happy!
Ms Erin

Dear Parents and Dancers,
We're sure you are aware that there is an abundance of fear around the Coronavirus.
Though the risk of exposure remains low, we are taking proactive steps to ensure that the studio remains a safe space. These steps include:
• Extra cleaning at the studio daily including on barres, door knobs, mats, touchable surfaces and props.
• No props or costumes will be shared and wearable props will not be used.
• We will work on non-spotting skills in acro and yoga classes.
• Rehearsal absences will not be counted toward the 2 absent max for company dancers. If your child has any symptoms including coughing, sneezing, fever, chills, please stay home and rest.
• We will not have any partnering rehearsal until further notice.
• We ask Parents and teachers to remind students of the importance of frequent handwashing, to sneeze and cough into an elbow, to maintain safe distances from other dancers. Please follow public health guidelines on how to educate your child about coronavirus.
At this time, we will continue to follow guidelines of the DOH and the school district and maintain a normal schedule.
We want everyone to be as healthy as possible. So be conscious, courteous, and caring as you make choices throughout the day.
Thank you!
