Every month a student of the Integral Ballet School is honored for noteworthy achievements, extraordinary behavior and/or general excellence. These achievements may or may not be dance-related, but show what it means to be an exemplary student of ballet. We love to see our students going above and beyond in every area of their lives.
Dinah is a 4th grader, and Level 2 student at Integral Ballet, who is personally committed to excellence. When she commits, she really commits.
Though she comes from a large family, with lots of things spinning, she makes sure that she never misses a Gatsby rehearsal. She wakes up early in the morning to make sure she has time to review her schoolwork and ballet daily, not because she has been asked to do so, simply because she wants to start the day focused and relaxed.
Her family says, “We are proud of her self-discipline and respect. She has even her brothers and 2-year-old sister practicing the ‘cannon’.”
Dinah has been a joy to work with to her teachers and her peers at the ballet school. She sets a wonderful example for new students in her class and has done a wonderful job dancing with the ballet company in A Merry Mini Nutcracker as an Angel and Cookie, and in A Gatsby Soiree as a flapper, keeping up with advanced choreography.
