Dancers and Parents,
We are currently fundraising for new Marley floors for the fall so that the dancers don’t slip while on pointe. Every time street shoes are worn on the dance floor, the life span of the floor diminishes and the likelihood of a dancer slipping and getting injured due to salt, sand, and dirt on the floor increases. Over cleaning the Marley also diminishes its lifespan making it difficult to manage dirty shoes on the dance floor.
If you forget and wear your street shoes on the dance floor, please donate a few coins to our new Marley floor jar which you will find at the front desk after spring break (next to the Water money jar). If we keep ‘forgetting’ at the rate we’ve been, we’ll have a new floor in no time. :)
Hopefully we won't have any coins in the jar. We want to make sure this is a courtesy to our fellow dancers that all students and parents are accustomed to before we install new flooring.
